Create New Instruction

Step 1 - Request your ChatGPT data

Sign in at chatgpt.com in a web browser. Open your profile menu, then Settings → Data controls → Export data → Confirm export.

Step 2 - Download the file

OpenAI sends an e-mail with a download link. The link expires, so download the file soon after the e-mail arrives. Save the .zip file and do not unzip it.

Step 3 - Select the file on the next page

The file is read inside your browser. Only the fields listed on the next page are extracted, you can look at them first, and nothing is sent unless you agree.
